The Multani Lohar or Mirza Lohar are the Muslim Blacksmith community found in the state of Gujarat and western Uttar Pradesh in India.
They use the surnames "Mirza", "Multani" or "Ahmad", while the women may use "Khatun" or "Parveen".
Essentially, Mirza was the title used by Persians, while Baig or Beg was the Turkic-Mongolic term. However, the Muslim Lohar (Multani) use these words as titles. Mirza, Baig or Beg are not caste-specific.
