Shahji Muhammad Sher Miyan (1786-1906) was an Indian Sufi saint of Qadiriyya Naqshbandiya order.[1][2] He is buried in the Dargah-e-Shahji, Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh and an annual Urs-e-Shahji is celebrated.[3][4][5][6] He took bait to Syed Ahmed Ali, a Sufi saint of Naqshbandia order and became a Khalifa of Ali.[2]

Early life

Sher Miyan was born in 1786 to Muhammad Sher Khan and Noor Jahan Begum in Khurasan, Afghanistan as Ahmad Sher Khan.[7] He came to Pilibhit, his maternal city after the death of his father in 1798 and lived there till death.[2]
