Nazarabad, also known as Naz̧arābād-e Bozorg and Naz̧arābād-e Moghadam) is a city in the Central District of Nazarabad County, Alborz province, Iran, and serves as the capital of the county.

Nazarabad (Persian: نظرآباد, romanized: Naz̧arābād [næzæɾɒːˈbɒːd]), also known as Naz̧arābād-e Bozorg and Naz̧arābād-e Moghadam)[3] is a city in the Central District of Nazarabad County, Alborz province, Iran, and serves as the capital of the county. The city is well-known for growing fruit for Tehran.

At the 2006 National Census, the population of the city was 97,684 in 24,583 households, when Nazarabad County was in Tehran province.[4]

In August 2010, Karaj County, Nazarabad County, and Savojbolagh County were separated from the province in the establishment of Alborz province.[5]

The last census of 2016 counted 119,512 inhabitants in 36,520 households in Nazarabad.[2]
