Doree (transl. chord) is an Indian Hindi-language drama television series that premiered on 6 November 2023 on Colors TV and it digitally streams on Jio Cinema.[1][2] The series aims to promote awareness on the issue of girl child abandonment.[3][4][5] The series stars Mahi Bhanushali, Amar Upadhyay, Sudha Chandran and Toral Rasputra.[6][7][8]
Plot
The story revolves around Doree, a six-year-old doting daughter who lives with her foster father Ganga Prasad (Amar Upadhyay) in the Bunkar mohalla of Banaras.

Production
Colors TV joined hands with Ministry of Women and Child Development to promote Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.[9][10] Colors TV will also promote the 24-hour emergency toll free Childline India helpline number (1098).[11] The filming of the drama series took places at many places in Varanasi - Gai Ghat, Darbhanga Ghat, Mahmoorganj area.[12][13]
