With ܟܘܪܐ (kawwārā, “beehive”) and Hebrew כַּוֶּרֶת (kawwéreṯ, “beehive”) deriving from Akkadian 𒄀𒆤𒈣 (/kuru/, “short reed mat, collection or roll of reeds; a woven thing; hence a basket”), from Sumerian 𒄥 (gur, “to twist, to wind, to turn; a bundle, unit of measure, a basketful of barley”).
