Zanele Portia Nhlapho (born 24 June 1991) is a South African soccer player who plays as a defender for SAFA Women's League club Mamelodi Sundowns, where she is the current captain, and the South Africa women's national team.[1][2][3]

Club career

She previously played for KF Apolonia Fier from Albania during the 2019/20 season and moved to KFF Mitrivica from Kosovo for the 2020/21 season.[4]

She currently plays for Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa and captained the side that won the 2021 CAF Women's Champions League and were runner's up for the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League.[5]

In 2021, she was nominated for the CAF Women Interclub Player of the Year award and made it to the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League's team of the tournament.[6]She captained the club to their second continental title, the CAF Women's Champions League, and was added to the team of the tournament for 2023.[7]
