Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) is a private business school with three fully residential campuses, in Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai, all in India.[1] XIME is currently being led by Anil J Philip as the President. The Institute pioneered the Association of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS, estd 2008) which is a platform for management education in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.[2]

XIME arranges international events in collaboration with seventeen partner institutions around the globe which is popularly known as Student Exchange Programme, including campus exchange programmes, faculty exchange programmes and an international study tour for its students. XIME took the initiative in formation of Association of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS), thus bringing together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. XIME offers a two-year PGDM course with specialization in Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations and Business Analytics.[3] XIME Banglore also offers PGCM in Construction Management and Healthcare Management.

XIME Chennai

Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) Chennai, is a premier business school located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a private business school approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). XIME Chennai offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. The campus of XIME, Chennai was established in the year 2017 and is the youngest sibling institute of the renowned institute of XIME, Bangalore and XIME, Kochi. The institute has a strong academic reputation and has been recognized for its innovative teaching methods and excellent placement record. XIME Chennai is situated in the heart of the SIPCOT Industrial Area, which is a major industrial and commercial hub in South India. This strategic location provides students with ample opportunities for internships and placements. Clubs in XIME

Xime Chennai has a plethora of clubs which are run by the students of the institution and exist to engage students in various activities which align with the overall development of students to take on leadership roles in the corporate world or any other arena which awaits them in the future. The clubs which are existent in XIME, Chennai in the present times are further divided into core clubs and non-core clubs. The core clubs consist of Human resource club (HRhythm), operations club (XCops), analytics club (X-rational), finance club (Finnacle) and marketing club (X-Marketeers). The main motive of the core clubs are to hone the skills of the students and help them emerge as future leaders of the society. Among the non-core clubs, there are different domains which specifically concentrate on extra-curricular development of the students. The non-core club consists of Entrepreneur club (Entreprenow), cultural club (Xpressions), sports club (X-Sporties), debate club (Xopinionators) and X-seed club (XSeed Chennai)which conducts various activities through which the students of the institution can contribute to the well-being of the society as future leaders.


Prometheus (Management Fest, XIME Chennai Event)

Oragadam, Chennai - September 14 & 15, 2023 Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME), founded by Prof. J. Philip, is a prominent management institution with three campuses located in Bangalore, Chennai, and Kochi. XIME Chennai played host to Prometheus 23, a dynamic intercollege management fest that unfolded on the 14th and 15th of September. Drawing together a diverse assembly of young minds hailing from universities and colleges, the event emerged as a vibrant platform for creativity, collaboration, and innovative ideas, spotlighting the remarkable talents cultivated within our academic institutions.

The event kicked off with an electrifying flash mob performance by XIME Chennai students, setting the stage for an inspiring journey. Prof. Suresh Kumar V, Dean Academics of XIME Chennai, delivered an inaugural address that set the tone for the festivities. Management fest organized a range of events under various clubs, namely Marketing, Operations, HR, Analytics, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. The fest also featured social, cultural, sports, debate, and digital events, with participants displaying a remarkable competitive spirit.

Prometheus’23 witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 students representing around 31 colleges and universities. The event had an overall prize money of INR 200000, for the winners in various categories of sub-events conducted in Prometheus by different clubs of the B-school. Their presence contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of intellectual exchange and collaboration that characterized the event. Prometheus not only served as a showcase for the outstanding talent residing within our academic institutions but also underscored the potential these students hold for the future corporate landscape and their commitment to driving positive change. The event concluded with a heartfelt valedictory function, during which Madras Christian College secured the awards for overall champions, graciously presented by the Officiating director Dr. Ravi Veeraraghavan and Prof. Suresh Kumar V, Dean Academics of XIME Chennai, during the Valedictory Ceremony. Dr. Ravi Veeraraghavan, Officiating Director XIME Chennai, expressed his profound appreciation for the students and participants who made Prometheus a resounding success.

Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition (Flagship Event, XIME Chennai)

The main flagship event of XIME is the “Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition”. The Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition, sponsored by XIME, is an esteemed event that fosters the development and refinement of communication skills among aspiring leaders. Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition competition cultivates a platform for budding leaders to hone their oratory prowess, engage in critical thinking, and articulate their ideas persuasively. XIME's unwavering commitment to nurturing future leaders shines through this initiative, empowering individuals to become effective communicators and influential figures in their respective fields.

Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition, 2023 commemorates the 60th Birth anniversary of Maria Philip and has offered a prize money of INR 500000 for the winners of the competition.The “Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition” 2023 commenced with the regional rounds competition hosted at various locations all across South India. The states in which Maria Philip Future Leaders Debate Competition is contested for regional rounds are Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Coimbatore and chennai. Till date, the regional rounds have been concluded for Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Madurai and Tirunelveli.
