Will Talbot-Davies (born 11 September 1997) is a lawyer and professional rugby union player who played for Wales, Dragons, Coventry and now London Scottish as a fullback, centre or winger.[1]
Talbot-Davies won multiple academic and sporting scholarships enabling him to attend Warwick Junior and Solihull Senior schools and pursue his passion for sport. He played football, golf, tennis, rugby and cricket at County, Academy and National levels before progressing rugby through Warwickshire, Midlands, Welsh Exiles to Wales U18. Pursuing a Law degree at Cardiff University, whilst there, he played for Wales U20 and the Senior 7s team around the World Series, finishing at the San Francisco World Cup. He made his debut for the Dragons against Leicester in front of over 17,000 spectators in 2016[2] having being nurtured playing for their Academy, Bedwas and Ebbw Vale RFC. The Covid pandemic and then serious injury, playing Bordeaux in the European Cup, halted progress just as he was becoming established. After a long rehabilitation (and helping Newport to win their first Welsh Cup in a decade) Talbot-Davies recovered to finish the Dragons season against Ulster and Munster. In June 2022, Talbot-Davies left the troubled finances of Welsh rugby and returned home to play for his local club, Coventry RFC for the 2022-23 season, mentoring their young backs to their highest ever professional league position. Whilst doing this he secured his Solicitor Qualifying Exams and worked part-time as a paralegal. In July 2023 he moved to London to progress his legal training at Russell-Cooke and joined the capital's premier part-time club, London Scottish.
"I felt safe whenever you were named in the team as I knew we were playing with 16 players!" (England, Wasps and Coventry skills coach)
