St. Thomas' Church or Diu Museum in Diu, DNDD, India, is a church building built in the year 1598, under the authority of Bishop D. Aleixo Menezes.[1] It is one of three surviving church building in the town.
Conversion to Museum
Due to the decline in the Christian population in Diu ever since the Invasion of 1961, the use this church building fell out of use.[2] It functioned as an Orphanage, Home for the Aged, Police Station before finally becoming a museum in 1992. Though secularized, the building is still owned by the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman.
