Somewhere Quiet is an 2023 American horror-thriller film, written and directed by Olivia West Lloyd, in her directorial debut. It stars Jennifer Kim, Kentucker Audley, Marin Ireland and Micheál Neeson.

It had its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, 2023.

Premise

A woman attempts to readjust to normalcy following a kidnapping. She begins to deteriorate upon traveling to her husband's compound.

Production

Olivia West Lloyd was inspired to make the film after watching slashers, wanting to continue follow characters after the credits.[2][3] Principal photography took place in Cotuit, Massachusetts.[4]

Release

The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, 2023.[5] In October 2023, Vertical Entertainment acquired U.S. and U.K. distribution rights to the film.[6]

Reception

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 90% of 10 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.20/10.[7]
