Sayyid[3] bin Tariq Al Said (born in 1955[1]) is an Omani member of the royal family and one of the Deputy Prime Ministers.
He is the brother of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and Asa'ad bin Tariq Al Said.[1] He was an advisor to Sultan Qaboos. He was also Rear Admiral and the head of Royal Navy of Oman from August 1990[3] until 2004.[1]
Sultan Haitham appointed him as Deputy Prime Minister for defence affairs in March 2020.[4] As deputy prime minister for defence, He is now answerable only to the sultan in defence matters.[4]
