Roberto Elfrado Sauyai (born 26 July 1994) is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga 3 club Persipani Paniai.

Club career

Persiram U21

Roberto became known on the Indonesian football scene when he wore the Persiram Raja Ampat uniform in the 2010–11 Indonesia Super League U-21 season. With Persiram, he lasted for 2 seasons, playing a total of 7 caps, and scoring 2 goals.

Persebaya ISL U21

In 2014, Roberto then moved to Surabaya and played for the Persebaya ISL U21 team to compete in the Indonesia U-21 Super League competition. Together with Vava Mario Yagalo and other colleagues, Roberto scored 3 goals in 8 matches.[1]

Pre-PON West Papua

During the absence of Indonesian football in 2015, Roberto strengthened the Pre-PON West Papua team.

Persma Manado 1960

In 2016, he joined Persma Manado 1960 to compete in the 2016 Liga Nusantara competition. He made his debut with the team against PS Manado on 20 August 2016 and scored his first goal on 27 August 2016 when Persma Manado beat Persis Sangihe 3–0 at Klabat Stadium, Manado.

Persipur Purwodadi

In 2017, he officially signed a contract with the team Persipur Purwodadi to compete in the 2017 Liga 3 Central Java competition. One of the matches he played was when Persipur drew 0–0 against Sragen United at Krida Bhakti Stadium, Grobogan Regency. At that time, he received a red card in the 7th minute after being involved in a fight with a Sragen United player.[2]

PSPS Riau

In 2020, he was brought in by the PSPS Riau coach Raja Isa to strengthen PSPS which will compete in 2020 Liga 2.[3]

Persipani Paniai

Roberto won the title as top scorer with a score of 11 goals in the 2022 Liga 3 Papua competition with the team Persipani Paniai.[4]
