Rewind is an upcoming Philippine science fiction romance film written by Enrico C. Santos and directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar. It stars real-life couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, in their first film together since You to Me Are Everything in 2010, in the lead roles, with the supporting cast includes Coney Reyes, Ariel Ureta, Joross Gamboa, and Ina Feleo.

Produced and distributed by Star Cinema, in association with Agosto Dos Media and APT Entertainment, it serves as Marian's first film project and Dingdong's eighth film project for the film studio. It also marks as second film of Dingdong Dantes with director Mae Cruz-Alviar, with whom they worked together in the film She's the One ten years prior.

It is scheduled to be released on 25 December 2023 and it is one of the official entries for the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival.

Production

The project was originally developed by GMA Pictures and APT Entertainment in 2021, with Dingdong Dantes starring his lead role, with Mac Alejandre direct the project, but it was shelved production.

On 21 June 2023, Star Cinema would pick up from GMA Films announced through a media press conference that the film Rewind, written by Enrico Santos and directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, will be top-billed by GMA Network's exclusive talents and celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera and to be co-produced with the former's production company Agosto Dos Media and APT Entertainment.[1]

On 10 July 2023, the film was chosen by the committee as one of the first four official entries for the then-incoming 49th Metro Manila Film Festival. [2] On 21 September 2023, lead actor Dingdong Dantes posted on his Instagram account some snippets of the film's wedding scene with captions saying that it was the first day of production.[3]

Promotions and marketing

The official 90-second teaser of the film was released on 13 November 2023.[4] On 23 November 2023, an official poster was unveiled to the public with the presence of the lead couple, and later, it appeared on the social media platform accounts of Star Cinema and other related divisions of ABS-CBN.
