Popencu (Ukrainian: Попенки, Popenky, Russian: Попенки, Popenki) is a commune in the north of Transnistria, Moldova. It consists of four villages: Chirov (Кірове, Кирово), Popencu, Vladimirovca (Володимирівка, Владимировка) and Zăzuleni (Зозуляни, Зозуляны), and is part of the Rîbnița District.

The village of Zăzuleni is the site of the Church of Paraskeva the Serbian.

Notes

  1. Transnistria's political status is disputed. It considers itself to be an independent state, but this is not recognised by any UN member state. The Moldovan government and the international community consider Transnistria a part of Moldova's territory.
