The Pioneer Single Member Constituency is a Single Member Constituency in the western part of Singapore. The current Member of Parliament for the constituency is People's Action Party (PAP) Patrick Tay.
History
It was a former ward of West Coast Group Representation Constituency (GRC) from 2001 until 2011, when it was carved out as a standalone SMC during the 2011 elections. The SMC is entirely surrounded in all sides by the West Coast GRC. It is bounded by Jurong West Street 61/62, Jurong West Central, Jalan Boon Lay, Boon Lay Way, Jurong West Street 93 (until the gap between Jurong West Sports Complex and Block 980 & 979, but excluding the Yunnan Gardens and Yunnan Park) and Jurong West Avenue 4. It covers the southern area of Pioneer and is connected to the rest of the Mass Rapid Transit system through Boon Lay MRT and Pioneer MRT stations.
