Pierce Wallace, also known as the Georgia Joker, is an American sports fan, television personality and actor best known for being inducted into ESPN's Fan Hall of Fame for portraying The Joker at University of Georgia football games. Wallace is also a yoga instructor and a contestant on season 3 of FBOY Island.
Personal life
Wallace grew up in Valdosta, Georgia[1][2] as the son of the podiatrist Mike Wallace, and a high school teacher, Carol Wallace.[3] He is a fraternal triplet[1] with brothers Austin and Doyle, and also has a sister, Madalyn.[3] Wallace attended Valdosta High School[4] where he played basketball, was assistant head coach for golf and was nominated for homecoming king in 2012.[1]
Georgia Joker
During his freshman year of college at University of Georgia, Wallace was 6'5''[1] and wore The Joker makeup for the Georgia Bulldogs' first game against South Carolina. ESPN tweeted about it and Wallace posted a video of himself in character for the game against Louisiana State University. With more than 85,000 votes,[5] he made it to the top 3 finalists for ESPN's Fan Hall of Fame. In 2014, Wallace was inducted at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut.[6][7] The character was inspired by Wallace's enthusiasm for the Batman franchise.[8]
Career
After moving to Los Angeles, Wallace became a yoga instructor and was cast in season 3 of FBOY Island.[9] Abbie Smith at The Daily Beacon quoted him and described Wallace as the season's hippie.[10] Wallace was eliminated by Hali Okeowo in episode 5.[9]
