Philippe Froguel is a French physician and scientist who serves as chair in Genomic Medicine in the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction at Imperial College London.[1] His research has focused on the genetics of human diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. This includes research identifying the genes glucokinase and HNF1 risk factors for type 2 diabetes. In 2007, he was elected to the Academy of Medical Sciences.[2]
Froguel received his M.D. from Pierre and Marie Curie University and his Ph.D. from Paris Diderot University.[3]
