Peter James Farley-Moore (born 1972) is an Anglican priest, serving as Archdeacon of Hackney since 2022.[1]
Early life
The son of Angus Moore[2] and Barbara née Cooper, he was educated at Sheffield University (BA),[3] before pursuing further studies at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, graduating MA.
Ordination and advancement
Following his ordination in 2000, Farley-Moore entered the priesthood in 2001, serving as Assistant Curate of St John's Church, Chapletown, Sheffield until 2003.[4] Appointed Director of Discipleship of St Andrew's Church, Kowloon, Hong Kong[5] in 2005, he became Vicar of St John's, Blackheath in 2007, then Team Rector of St John's, Deptford in 2014.[6]
Farley-Moore served as Canon Missioner[7] of Wakefield Cathedral from 2021 until 2022,[8] when he was appointed Archdeacon of Hackney.[9]
In 1996 he married Angela Farley, assuming the additional surname of Farley.[10] The couple have two sons.
