Overview

Ocient was co-founded by Chris Gladwin in 2016, along with Joe Jablonski and George Kondiles.^[2][3][4][5] The company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, United States.^[6]

The company was initially self-funded with a $10 million A-round in 2018, followed by an extended A-round of $15 million in 2020.^{[7][8][9][10][11]}

In January 2021, Ocient received $40 million in a Series B funding round.^{[12][13][14][15][16]}

The company mainly provides hyperscale data analytics solutions.^{[17][18][19][20][21][22][23]} Its primary product is the Ocient Hyperscale Data Warehouse (OHDW) that is used for analysis of large datasets ranging in terabytes, petabytes and exabytes.^{[24][25][26][27][28][29]}
