NGC 6002 is a possible 16.8 magnitude star located in the constellation Corona Borealis.[1] It was discovered on 20 April 1873.[2] This star is located 1.9 arcmin south of NGC 6001. The galaxy designated MCG +05-37-026 was intended to be NGC 6002 but due to a 1 arcmin mistake, this star was choosen as NGC 6002.[3]
