Marian Ackermans (2nd), Mieke van Doorn (1st), Annemieke Bouwma (3rd)

Maria Barbera (Mieke) van Doorn (born 24 December 1954) is a Dutch athlete, who specialized in the high jump. She became European youth champion in this event, and was the first of a total of five athletes to ever jump over 1.88 metres, the Dutch record until 2013 . She was named Dutch Athlete of the Year.

Career

In 1970, at the first ever European Youth Championships in Paris, she became high jump champion with the national record jump of 1.74.[1][2]

In 1971, she was Dutch high jump champion.

In 1980, she became a physical education teacher at MEAO.
