MaxIm DL is a software package created by Cyanogen for the intended purpose of astronomical imaging. It contains tools to process and analyze data from imaging array detectors such as CCDs.
It is only available for Windows 7 and above. Installation on alternative operating systems is acknowledged as possible but is not officially supported.[1]
MaxIm DL lets you analyze data and make portraits of the night sky. It does have a high price, being sold at $249.00 – $649.00 USD for a copy. There are no refunds after purchase. Although this piece of software is advanced it has a steep price with no refunds, so it can be a risky gamble.
