Kungyam is a village in the Leh district in the Indian union territory of Ladakh.[2] It is located in the rong block chumathang which primarily comes under Nyoma tehsil.Local ladakhi language is mainly used but can understand and communicate in Hindi also. Youths of village have form a group which is called chakhyung thundel dzunu tsosgpa .
