Khamsavath railway station, also known as Vientiane-Tai Railway Station is the railway station located in Nonvai Village, Saysetha district, Vientiane prefecture. Extended 7.5 km (4.7 mi) further from the former terminus, Thanaleng station became the new terminus of Northeastern Line from Thailand.
Construction began in October 1, 2019 with plans of completion by 2021. However, the station was only opened in May 2023 due to unexpected delays.[1] The station was officially opened in October 31, 2023.[2]
Initially, the shuttle train will operate between Khamsavath and Nong Khai 4 round trips for a day. They also planned to extend their service to serve both Udon Thani station and Nakhon Ratchasima within 2024 onwards.[3]
