Kerbey Lane Cafe is a chain of restaurants predominantly in the Austin metropolitan area.[1][2] The restaurant began serving its signature comfort food from a small bungalow on Kerbey Lane in Central Austin in 1980.[3] The chain has since expanded into San Marcos via Texas State University in 2019[4] and added a location in San Antonio in 2022.[5]
History
Kirby Lane Cafe was founded May 5, 1980 by Patricia and David Ayer.[6][7] Their son Mason Ayer serves as CEO of the Kerbey Lane Cafe locations.[7] As of 2023, the restaurant chain had 10 locations in Texas.[8]
