Early life and education

Juwon Lawal Razaq, originally from Kogi State, Nigeria, spent his formative years in Lagos. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and later pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.

His quest for further expertise led him to undergo executive training in agribusiness at Harvard Business School. Additionally, he holds alumni status from both Imperial College Business School in London and Saïd Business School at Oxford University.[4]

Business and Career

Juwon Lawal Razaq's journey in business began at a young age by managing his father’s palm oil extraction enterprise.[5] This early exposure sparked an interest that led him into various industries, including oil, marine, and agriculture.[6]

In 2005, he started providing consultancy services in oil marketing and training. He founded Stevepel Energy Resources Limited two years later, venturing into the oil and gas sector.

Razaq gained experience as an oil trader and held a position as a senior trader at the South East Asia oil trading company, Winson Oil Pte, an oil trading company in Singapore.

Expanding his ventures, he entered the marine logistics sector in 2009, establishing S. T. & L. Bunkers Ltd, later rebranding it as ABD Fuels Plc. ABD Fuels became a corporate member of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA), specializing in supplying marine fuels along the West African coast. In 2010, the company diversified into producing lubricants for automotive and industrial use.[7][8]

This evolution continued, leading to the transformation of ABD Fuels into S8 Contractors, emphasizing adaptability and a diverse industry presence.[9]
