José Manuel Espada (born February 22, 1997) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres. He made his MLB debut in 2023.
Career
Espada was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth round of the 2015 MLB draft. He played in the Blue Jays organization until 2019 and spent 2021 in the Boston Red Sox organization. He signed with the San Diego Padres in 2022.
Espada will be promoted to the major leagues on September 22, 2023.[1]
