Jamie Mathieu Knight-Lebel (born 24 December 2004) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for Bristol City of the EFL Championship.[1]

Early and personal life

Born in Montréal to a Canadian father and Welsh mother, he moved with his family to England when he was five years-old and grew up in Bristol. He speaks English and French.[2] He was educated at Fairfield High School, Bristol.[3]

Career

Bristol City

Knight-Lebel joined the Bristol City academy at a young age and progressed through age-group football at the club.[4] He signed a professional contract with Bristol City in May 2022.[5]

Captain of the under-21 team at the start of the 2023-24 season,[6] Knight-Lebel was included on the first-team bench for the first match-day of the 2023-24 EFL Championship as Bristol City hosted Preston North End on August 5, 2023.[7] He made his league debut away against Cardiff City on October 28.[8][9]

International career

In April 2022, Knight-Lebel was called-up to the Canada under-20 team for two friendlies against Costa Rica.[10] In June 2022 he was named to the squad contesting the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. [11]
