Hierapolis /ˌhaɪəˈræpəlɪs/ (Ancient Greek: Ιεράπολις Ierapolis) was a town of the Phrygian Pentapolis in ancient Phrygia, inhabited during Roman and Byzantine times.[1]
Its site is located near Koçhisar in Asiatic Turkey.[2][3]
