Education

Harvinder Singh (born 13 November 1991) is 2019 batch civil servant of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre currently serving in the Jammu and Kashmir cadre. He is currently posted as Deputy Commissioner Doda.

Career

Harvinder Singh started his career as a lecturer. He worked as a Civil Engineer after completing his post-graduation.[2]

In 2018, Harvinder Singh secured the All India rank of 335 in the UPSC 2018 examination, after which he started serving as an IAS officer in 2019 cadre.[3]

In July 2021, Singh was posted as SDM in Uri with additional charge of Sub-registrar.[4] In September 2022, he was transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Jammu.[5]

In October 2023, Singh was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Doda district.[6]

Personal life

Harvinder Singh was born on 13 November 1991 in Jammu. In childhood, an accident resulted the permanent damage of his three fingers. He passed the UPSC exam in the third attempt, securing a rank of 335, and earning a position as an IAS officer.[2][7]
