Hamza Sohail (born July 16, 1996, Lahore) is a Pakistani actor and model.[1]
He is known for his roles in dramas Raqeeb Se (2021), his debut project, as well in Badshah Begum (2022), Badshah Begum (2022), Fairy Tale (2023) and Sirf Tum (2023).[2][3]
Early life and education
The eldest son of veteran stage and TV actor Sohail Ahmed,[4] Sohail completed his early education from Beaconhouse School System in Lahore and after highschool went abroad to England where he got his bachelor's and masters degree in business from the London Campus of Coventry University. [5]
Career
After completing his studies, Sohail returned to Lahore to start working as an actor. There, he met TV director Kashif Nisar, who cast him in his 2021 drama Raqeeb Se as Abdul Rahman. The drama serial was a critical success.[6] His next project was the drama Main Haari Piya where he played the character of Saood on ARY Digital.[7] His first web series was Mrs. & Mr. Shameem and he worked alongside Saba Qamar and Nauman Ijaz.[5] Later he worked in the drama Badshah Begum with Zara Noor Abbas, Ali Rehman Khan and Komal Meer. He played the role of Pir Shahmir and his acting skills were greatly praised.[8]
In 2022, he worked in the Ramadan drama Fairy Tale, written by Sarah Majeed and directed by Ali Hassan, which became his breakout role and gave him wider recognition. His chemistry with the female lead Sehar Khan was liked and praised. He also appeared in Fairy Tale Season 2, where his performance was praised and his chemistry with his coactors was liked by the audience. [9] In 2023, he acted in the drama Sirf Tum with Anmol Baloch and Mohsin Abbas Haider.[10]
