Firuzabad (Persian: فيروزاباد, also Romanized as Fīrūzābād)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Marhemetabad-e Miyani Rural District of Firuzabad District of Chaharborj County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of the former Marhemetabad District of Miandoab County) was 1,539 in 331 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,741 people in 440 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,704 people in 508 households.[2]
In July 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Chaharborj County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Chahar Borj as its capital.[4]
