Fazlur Rehman Ansari (born 1940, Hindi: फजलुर रहमान अंसारी, Urdu: فضل ور رحمان انصاری) is an Indian politician.[1] He was the member of 7th Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly from Nanpara.[2][3]

Political career

Fazlur Rehman was first elected as MLA from Nanpara Assembly of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on the Communist Party of India ticket in the year 1974.

Arresting

During the Emergency in 1976, Fazular Rehman was kept in the district jail for several days under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA). He had arrested the money lenders who were oppressing the poor because of their anti-social activities.
