Euro 4 Championship is a formula racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. The Championship was inaugurated in 2023.

History

WSK Promotions, well known for its kart races in the WSK Euro Series e.a., is promoting the Championship.[1]

Cars

Italian race car constructor Tatuus is contracted to design and build all the cars.[2] Tatuus had also built all the cars for the Formula Abarth. The chassis is a monocoque made of carbon fibre.

The engine is a 1400cc Fiat-FPT.[3] This is the same engine used in the Formula Abarth between 2010 and 2013. It is detuned to fit the FIA Formula 4 regulations to 160 hp (120 kW), down from the original 180 hp (130 kW).

Calendar

The inaugural 2023 calendar comprises three race weekends.

3 Spain Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Montmeló 22 October

On 5 August 2023, a provisional 2024 calendar was announced featuring four race weekends. Autodromo Nazionale Monza and Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello were retained but Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was omitted from the calendar. Hungaroring and Red Bull Ring are due to make their first appearances on the Euro 4 Championship calendar which will also mark the first Euro 4 Championship events in Hungary and Austria respectively.[4]
