Ecovis International is a Swiss tax consulting and auditing company[2][3] and was founded in Zürich in 2008.[4]

The British online magazine Accountancy Age lists Ecovis International among the 17 largest auditors worldwide in 2021.[5]

History

Ecovis was founded in 1909 as the "book office of the Royal Academy of Agriculture and Brewery Weihenstephan" as a forerunner of the law firm Bayla.[6]

After a year of collaboration, the Ecovis Group was formed in August 2004 through the merger of the law firms Bayla with 78 offices and Grieger Mallison with around 35 offices in Germany.[3] The name "Ecovis" is a combination of "economy" and "vision".[7]

Ecovis International was founded in Zürich in 2008.[4] Ecovis RTS Verwaltungsgesellschaft emerged from the cooperation between Ecovis and the RTS Group in 2016.[8]

In 2022, Ecovis opened a branch in Löbau.[2]

Company structure

Ecovis International generated consolidated sales of €206.6 million and employed 1,734 people in 2021.[1] Ann Christin Büscher, Richard Hoffmann and Alexander Weigert serve as board members of Ecovis.[9]

Ecovis AG Steuerberatungsgesellschaft in Berlin acts as the umbrella company for Ecovis.[10] The branch in Löbau is responsible for payroll and accounting.[2] The Ecovis Academy in Rostock is responsible for the training and further education of employees.[11][12]

Products

Ecovis employs tax advisors, lawyers, auditors, and management consultants and supports clients from different economic sectors. The company offers consultation services in fields like starting a business, corporate transactions and company succession.[12]
