The Super 8 Tournament is an annual professional wrestling tournament held by the East Coast Wrestling Association. The tournament is contested by eight female wrestlers in a one-night single-elimination format. The tournament was originally called the Chickfight tournament until ECWA was sold in 2019 where it was rebranded the Women's Super 8 Tournament.
History
The Super 8 Tournament was first held on October 11, 2014, and was won by Tessa Blanchard.[1][2]

The inaugural Super 8 ChickFight Tournament took part on October 11, 2014 at the YMCA of Carney's Point in Carney's Point, New Jersey.[9][3] In the tournament finals, Tessa Blanchard defeated Jenny Rose to win the tournament and the vacant ECWA Women's Championship.[3]

The second Super 8 ChickFight Tournament took part on October 17, 2015, at the Woodbury Heights Community Center in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey.[10][4] In the tournament finals, Deonna Purrazzo defeated the inaugural tournament winner Tessa Blanchard to win the tournament and the vacated ECWA Women's Championship.[4]

The third Annual Super 8 ChickFight Tournament took part on October 22, 2016, at the Woodbury Heights Community Center in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey.[11][5] In the tournament finals, Deonna Purrazzo defeated Karen Q, becoming the first person in 20 years to win the Super 8 Tournament back-to-back.[5][12]

The fourth Annual Super 8 ChickFight Tournament took part on October 21, 2017, at the Woodbury Heights Community Center in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey.[13][6] During the semifinals, Karen Q and Santana Garrett wrestled to a time limit draw.[6] As a result, the two advanced to the finals where they competed in a three-way match, which also involved Deonna Purrazzo.[6] In the end, Karen submitted Purrazzo with the Boston crab to win the tournament and the vacant ECWA Women's Championship.[6]

The fifth Super 8 ChickFight Tournament 2019 took part on March 16, 2019, at the Asbury United Methodist Church in New Castle, Delaware.[14][7] During the tournament, the ECWA Women's Championship changed hands multiple times.[7] During the quarterfinals, Scarlett Bordeaux defeated the reigning champion Miss Jasmine to win the title.[7] In the semifinals, Bordeaux lost the title to Gabby Ortiz.[7] At the end, at the tournament finals, Quinn McKay defeated Ortiz to win the tournament and the title.[7]

The sixth tournament, which was re-named to Women's Super 8 Tournament, took part on July 31, 2021, at the Arena Monster Factory LLC in Paulsboro, New Jersey.[15][8] Megasus Megan Bayne won the tournament after defeating Ashley D'Amboise in the finals.[8]
