Aldila Wulandari Kusumashanty Pranadjaja (27 May 1984 – 9 November 2020), better known as Dylan Sada, was an Indonesian–American model, photographer, and singer. She was the granddaughter of singer Pranadjaja.

Early life

Sada was born Aldila Wulandari Kusumashanty Pranadjaja on 27 May 1984 in Jakarta, Indonesia, as the daughter of Watty Pranadjaja.[1][2] She had a younger brother, Dimas Radityo.[1] Her maternal grandfather is Pranadjaja, a singer who founded Bina Vokalia music school.[3] She went to London Public School Jakarta and continued her higher education at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology but later dropped out.[3] Sada moved to United States at the age of 19.[3]

Personal life

Sada was married to Angel Perez but later divorced.[4] She revealed that she was a victim of sexual abuse which was did by her biological father and make her commit suicide attempt five times.[5] She wrote on her Instagram that her father used to abuse her during her youth and said that it was one of the reason why her moved from Indonesia.[5] On 6 March 2018, Sada revealed that she was violence abused by her boyfriend and was sent to emergency department to underwent CT scan.[4][5]

Career

Sada started her career as a photographer after a meeting with Ivanho Halim, a Kalimantan-born professional photographer based in Singapore.[6] She said that photography is not only about images, but also a combination of ideas, ideas, dreams and visions in life.[6] Sada worked as a model in New York and often had a collaboration with several company, such as Elle magazine, Nylon, L'Officiel, ID Magazine, Dior, Inez, Vinoodh, L'Oreal, and with photographer Ryan McGinley.[6][5] She was often credited as eccentric and bold model.[5] Sada also worked as a singer for television commercial jingle and often singing via SoundCloud.[1]
