Doona! (Korean: 이두나!) is a 2023 South Korean web series starring Bae Suzy and Yang Se-jong. Based Naver webtoon of the same name by Min Song-ah. It was released on Netflix on October 20, 2023.[2][6][7]

Synopsis

A college student, Won-jun, becomes roommates with Doo-na, a retired K-pop idol who leaves behind her glamorous days.[8][9]

The main vocalist and center of the girl group Dream Sweet, but she announces her sudden retirement and stays in a share house in a college town.
An extremely ordinary college student who has nothing but a warm and pure heart that provides a place for Doo-na to rest.

In July 2022, it was reported that the filming of the series began recently.[19][20] On February 23, 2023, Suzy posted a photo on SNS saying that the series had finished filming.[21]

Response

Singapore's national newspaper The Straits Times gave 3 out of 5 stars, giving a positive review for the great chemistry between both the main leads Suzy and Yang Se-jong, and the "very pretty romance" presented by the series. It hit the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s top 10 TV programmes in Singapore.[22]
