Dev Pragad is president and CEO of Newsweek. He is also co-owner of Newsweek acquiring a half-interest in 2018.[1][2]
Career
Prior to becoming CEO of Newsweek, Pragad managed it's international edition from London in 2014.
Since taking over Newsweek in 2016, the brand has grown in the digital space, with 100 million readers per month, the highest in its 90-year history.[3][4] The CEO Magazine profiled Pragad in February 2022 regarding Newsweek's turnaround, which was also the subject of Harvard Business School case study published in 2021.[5] The case study focuses on the challenges of Newsweek's digital transformation and the actions of Pragad and its leadership to turn the publication into a successful and sustainable business.[6]
Personal life
Pragad is an American citizen who holds dual citizenship with the United Kingdom. He is a fellow of King's College London and attended Harvard Business School, completing the Owner/President program in 2022. He earned a PhD in electrical engineering from King's College, where he attended from 2005 to 2008.[7][8][9]
