DevTernity is Latvia's largest [1][2] international software development conference with an emphasis on software architecture, development best practices and technical leadership. Established in 2015 by the leaders of a non-profit Latvian Software Craftsmanship Community, the conference faces continuous growth and has managed to attract 750 attendees at its peak.
In 2018, TechBeacon mentioned DevTernity as one of the best software engineering conferences of 2018.[3]
The conference typically features 20 speakers, with three parallel tracks. The second conference day is devoted to practical, instructor-led workshops.
The conference organizers have published a Code of Conduct. The official conference language is English.
All conference talks are recorded and published within a couple of weeks after the event on the conference's official YouTube channel. The official conference video is also available for watching.

Location
Prior to 2020, DevTernity took place in the The National Library of Latvia. Opening and closing keynotes were presented in the Hall Ziedonis.
Speakers
The conference applied a mixed approach to program development – direct invitation and a public Call For Papers (CFP), but in recent years switched to an invite-only model. All in-person speakers received accommodation costs and traveling expenses within Europe.
Controversy
In November 2023 it was found out that Devternity has been advertising using fake speaker profiles. [4]
