Davide Bartesaghi (born 29 December 2005) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Serie A club AC Milan.

Club career

Bartesaghi is a youth product of Atalanta and after a couple of seasons joined the youth academy of AC Milan at the age of 7 in 2012.[2][3] He started training with the senior AC Milan side in the preseason in the summer of 2023.[4] He made his senior and professional debut with AC Milan as a substitute in a 1–0 Serie A win over Hellas Verona on 23 September 2023.[3] On 2 October 2023, he signed his first professional contract with Milan, tying him until 2026.[5]

International career

Bartesaghi is a youth international for Italy, having been called up to the Italy U19s in 2023.[6]

Style of play

Bartesaghi had his youth career started as a forward, before being moved onto the wing, from where he also went on to play as a box-to-box midfielder known as mezzala in Italy and, later, as an attacking left-footed full-back.[7]

According to the player himself, he is most comfortable as a left-back in a four-man defense. Other positions he can play are a left-sided center back in a three-man defense and a left wingback in a 3–4–3 formation.[8]
