DarkwebSTREAMER is an in-development video game by South Australian developer 'We Have Always Lived in the Forest'.[1][2][3]

Description

The game is a horror-RPG inspired by online streaming culture, para-social relationships, and the grind of content creation.[1][2] It explores themes of how far a streamer would be willing to go to gain money, power, or fame; at the expense of one's own well-being.[1]

The game features a procedurally generated internet, with the narrative, characters, and content created on each playthrough.[1] Emily Spindler of Kotaku described the game as 'a commentary on all the internet has been, is, and will be'.

It was previewed at PAX Australia in 2023.[4] It was one of the 'Indie Showcase' winners at that festival.[1][3]
