Ayana Mathis is an American writer.

Life

Mathis was born in Philadelphia.[1] She a graduated from Iowa Writers’ Workshop.[2] She taught at St. Joseph's College.[3] She teaches at Hunter College.[4]

Her work appeared in The New York Times[5] and Harper's Bazaar.[6]
