Assembly Elections 2023

'Amjed Ullah Khan' is contesting for the 2023 elections in Yakhutpura Constituency 68, facing competition from the newcomer Jaffer Hussain Mehraj. Khan, a familiar face in Yakhutpura politics, has gained significant local support, evident in the success of his public meetings. Residents appreciate his experience and dedication to the constituency's welfare.

In contrast, Jaffer Hussain Mehraj, a fresh face in Yakhutpura's political scene, offers a new perspective. The competition between Khan's seasoned reputation and Mehraj's innovative approach adds intrigue to the election for Yakhutpura residents.

The election day is set for November 30th, with all eyes on the constituency to gauge the public response. While Amjed Ullah Khan seems to have substantial support, the final decision rests with the voters, and results will be announced on December 3.

As the election drama unfolds, the people of Yakhutpura eagerly await the outcome. The elected representative will play a vital role in addressing the community's needs for the upcoming term. The democratic process is underway, and the true winner will be revealed with the announcement of the election results on December 3.

Amjed Ullah Khan's leadership shines not only in politics but also in community service, particularly during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. He actively engaged in providing relief kits, supporting hospitals, and distributing wheelchairs, showcasing his commitment to the people's well-being.

Beyond local efforts, Khan initiated the "Praja Darbar," a commendable platform aiding those in need across Telangana, with a significant number of beneficiaries from Yakhutpura. His dedication to community service, even without an official position, sets him apart. As the election approaches, it remains to be seen whether the residents recognize and appreciate these efforts, potentially granting him the opportunity to contribute further. The election outcome will reveal whether the community values the proactive and compassionate leadership consistently demonstrated by Amjed Ullah Khan, transcending formal roles.

Background

Amjed Ullah Khan is the son of 5 time MLA Amanullah Khan. He rose to fame when he intervened in the kidnap and rape case of a Muslim girl at TRR College. Satya Prakash Singh had kidnapped the girl and held her prisoner for 17 months, during which time he repeatedly raped her. When parents of the victim reported the crime, the local police took no action because Singh's brother is a prominent lawyer. AUK led an agitation movement against the police and Singh, and, joined by thousands of youngsters, brought heavy pressure on the police.[2]

In another instance, he urged the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the earlier repatriation of 450 Indians stranded in Sumeshi Jail of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.[3]

Praja Darbar

He is more famous because of Praja darbar[4] which provides financial assistance to the needy irrespective of cast, creed or religion.[5][6]

AUK is the sole exponent behind Majlis Bachao Tehreek political Operations.
