Commandos training in southern Mexico
The Mexican Navy Special Operations Unit (Spanish: Unidad de Operaciones Especiales, UNOPES)[1] is the special operations command of the Mexican Navy - Marines. It was formed on September 15, 2014.[2]
This command is integrated by different units such as:
- Fuerzas Especiales [FES][3]
- Commandos
- Airborne Battalion[4]
- 27th Marine Infantry Battalion (QRF)
- Logistics Group
