Hans-Jörg Schmid (born 1963) is a German linguist. He is a researcher at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where he worked from 1988 to 1999 and has held the Chair of Modern English Linguistics since 2005. Between 1999 and 2005, he worked at Dresden University of Technology, Ruhr University Bochum, and University of Bayreuth.[1]
