GPC reconstructs Proto-Celtic *ande-nigantyom, from Proto-Indo-European *neygʷ- (“to wash”), while Schumacher reconstructs Proto-Celtic *ande-antyom, derived from the Celtic root *am- (“to wash”).[1]
