artifactuality (countable and uncountable, plural artifactualities)

1. (philosophy) The quality of being artifactual.

     These philosophers argue that the fact that someone might point to a piece of driftwood and say, “There is a work of art,” and further say, “That is not an artifact,” proves that artifactuality is not a necessary condition of a thing’s being a work of art.
