Etymology

Most likely borrowed from Proto-Baltic [Term?] (whence Latvian jūgt, Lithuanian jungti).[1] Alternatively, and less likely, borrowed from Proto-Indo-Iranian *yuktás (whence Sanskrit युक्त (yukta)).
