French chop (plural French chops)
- A rib chop in which the meat and fat are cut away from the end of the rib to the point where the meat becomes lean.
- 1912, The Sheep Breeder - Volume 32, page 720:- Dwight says, "Oh, Dick, but you ought to order a French chop with parley vous sauce."
